Improved and new animations
Here is a new walk cycle style animation. I animated my four legged beast as if it was stalking something also I took some time to redo my run four legged run cycle animation. I have shortened the tail and made it so it didn't move so much. Also I have coloured a Cossack run cycle.

Storyboard Idea 1
This was meant to be uploaded a lot earlier. Here's a little story I created about my beast and some other creature, however due to little time I don't know whether I'll be able to complete all of it. I will most likely animate first few scenes (1- 6).

Research on 2D show reels.
I have found few 2D animation show reels ranging from 2006 up to today. Some of the chosen show reels are made by animators from Disney and others are made by students and freelance animators.

Four legged walk cycle
This is just a very rough walk cycle. I did it just to get the overall feel of how a four legged animal walks. I know that the beast changes volumes and faces, but again it's a very rough test and it won't be shown in the demo-reel unless it has been improved and cleaned up.
First animation test of the beast
I did this piece before changing the design of the character. It can be seen that the hair flow moves in places, that's why the character has been made more streamlined. However I enjoyed animating this.
Colour charts for the beast
It took me a while to decide what colour the beast should be. Here are some possible colourations that felt appropriate for the character.
Character Designs version 2
I have created a clear designs of my characters. There wasn't much to change in my Cossack character whereas I have made few changes to my four-legged beast. It doesn't have the long hair or a detailed tail like before, these changes had to be made due to difficulty of animating everything and making it look realistic.

Cossack colour scheme
Since I feel that my Cossack character doesn't need that much changing. I decided to give him a colour scheme because I already knew what sort of colours I would use, but I found a historical website with some examples of how Cossacks, and Slavic nations dressed in 17th century: http://www.kismeta.com/diGrasse/Costume/CossackGear.htm
here are my colour schemes:

Character pages
I decided to finalise my two designs without talking to Peter last week. After consulting him yesterday I have decided to change some things, like the creatures flowing mane due to the fact that it is going to be difficult to animate without keeping the hair still. I will change the cossack's shoes a little bit to make them more believable and make him look like he's standing properly. Therefore here are the 1st cleaned up designs for my animation tests for demo reel.

2D Character sketches and thumbnails
As you can see that I have changed my quadrupedal creature from big wolf to sort of Chinese-like creature to which then I decreased the amount of details for easier animation. For my bipedal concept I have chosen to create a Cossack/ eastern European dressed person. I have done some small changes to him as well, like giving him black lines instead of the Disney-like eyes that he had in the beginning. I think that these two characters will never meet due to them being from completely different things and I will mostly likely make animation tests with them. Overall I have chosen to make my show reel in 2D as I would like to improve in this area.
